Roo's Brass is my variation of the brassy. What makes it different you asked? Replace the peacock herl with a stronger more durable material. Still has the same flashing glitter just stronger. Will last longer than most. Peacock herl free is the way to be. Made to imitate midge larva and pupa, caddis larva and pupa, and many other small nymphs. Landing trout practically everywhere there is trout. You could use it by itself with or without an indicator or my favorite double dropper setup with Hoots Beaded River Juan as the attractor and Roo's Brass as the dropper. 5x to 7x tippet and tapered leader are great choices.
