Hoot's Classic Woolly Bugger is a copy of The Woolly Bugger. It's been around since the 1800s. I just added my little twist to it. With flash in the tail, a lateral line made out of flash and no added weight, causes Hoots Classic Woolly Bugger to suspend for a little bit on the stop and go style of retrieve. Imitating a multitude of different aquatic, insects, crustacean, and fish. There are different ways to use Hoot's Classic Woolly Bugger. Like a streamer experimenting with retrieve, or a wet fly and swinging it. Or just dead drifting it underneath an indicator. The best setup for Hoot's Classic Woolly Bugger is a 5-8 weight Devin's Evolution Rod, depending on size of fish species and Hoot's Classic Woolly Bugger. With tip it I would use 1X all the way to 4X or you can use normal fishing line 12 to 20 lb test. For the tapered leader part use Hoot's Furled Leaders 3FT with barrel swivel. For fly line you can use sinking to fly line or what they call Versa leaders. That's what I like to use.
