I don't know much about the history of Graham's bloodworm. But what I do know is Graham and his wife own and operate a fly shop in Kamloops, British Columbia. Graham's Bloodworm tears it up at Tailwaters of Beaver Dam. Imitating a lot of aquatic worms including the red worm and chironomid larva (a trout's favorite.) I like to use it as a bottom dropper on a double dropper setup underneath the strike indicator. Or you can fish it by itself under a strike indicator. Both ways work great. 6X to 4X are great choices for tapered leader and tippet.
