The Flashing Scud is one of my favorite go-to patterns for Trout. I have landed my personal best Brownzilla off this pattern. Imitating a freshwater shrimp, it's basically Trout candy. My favorite way is the Flashing Scud with Devin's Evolution Rod under an indicator double dropper setup. Using Hoot's Furled Leader 5FT or 3FT with 5X to 6x tip it,  Jig Pig or Devin's Debacle as the anchor and the Flashing Scud as the tail.
