Chernobyl ant is a great attractor/ terrestrial pattern. This pattern was developed in 1990 by a group of Utah's Green River guides imitating the black crickets of Utah's Green River. Depending on color and size the Chernobyl Ant can imitate a multitude of terrestrials from grasshoppers all the way to Stone flies. With it's hotspot underneath the tail, Chernobyl Ant makes an excellent dry for a dry dropper setup or for a double dry. Also works good by itself. Depending on size of fly, 5X through 6x leader and tippet are good choice. But when it's sunny on the 6X tapered leader use a foot to a foot and a half of 7X tippet. More colors coming soon.
